NOTE: They collect good quality used ladies’, men’s andchildren’s clothing and shoes, bedding (but not duvets),curtains, belts and handbags.Sunday 12th June - 1.30pmFrench Boules Competition on the Village Green.This will be the 9th (International) Boules Competition since the first nail-biting one in 2003! There will be trophies for juniorand senior winners. French food and wine will be provided and you can even dress in French fancy dress if you wish (optional).There will be a prize for the best costumes junior and senior. Please come along with family and friends to join fellow villagersin this fun competition. There will be a small entrance fee toplay £3 per adult and £1 for children. It will be great to seeyou on the day. Any profits go to village funds.Saturday 16th JulyAffetside Summer BBQ from 6p.m. VillageGreen.This will be the 6th villageBBQ and we hope you andyour family and friends willcome to enjoy and supportthe event. Excellent foodand a bar will be availablewith dancing in themarquee. It is withthe kind permission ofStephen Clague from WestLinton who owns the landand the stable we use as the food servery and bar that we are able to hold our village bonfire. As you may have seenStephen has got his house up for sale and so if it is sold then the new owner may not be as community spirited as Stephen and we may lose our venue.
