This will be the 5th village BBQ and we hope you and your family and friends will come to enjoy and support the event. Excellent food and a bar will be available with dancing in the marquee. Tickets will be available nearer the time. All profits will go to the Affetside Millennium Green Trust which helps to maintain the village green for everyone’s enjoyment. If you can’t attend the evening but would like to buy a ticket/make a donation to support the village green trust that would be appreciated as, without the support of the villagers, it would be impossible to keep our village green looking as good as it is, and in a safe state for all visitors to enjoy. Please join fellow villagers for this evening in the sun. (Marquees are up in case the sun doesn’t show up for some unknown reason!!!!!) Friday 5th November   Affetside village bonfire 6.30p.m. on the land to rear of village green. Yes, this is a FRIDAY, but it is a good opportunity to celebrate  on the night itself. Please join fellow villagers and enjoy  Roseanne’s legendary meat and potato pie, black peas and  hot dogs plus the fully licensed bar. It is with the kind  permission of Stephen Clague from West Linton who owns the land and the stable we use as the food servery and bar that we are able to hold our village bonfire. As you may have seen  Stephen has got his house up for sale and so if it is sold then  the new owner may not be as community spirited as Stephen  and we may lose our venue. We will keep you posted nearer the time. Sunday 28th November Santa’s BIG SWITCH ON Affetside Christmas tree lights by Satan on the village green at 6p.m. prompt!
