Join fellow villagers and friends and family to sing all the favourite carols at this festive time of year and then warm yourself with free mulled wine and mince pies.NOTE: If weather is poor, the concert will be held in The Pack Horse pubPrevious carol concerts can be viewed HEREThe site is jointly run by both village amenity societies; Affetside Millennium Green Trust, a charitable organisation (Registered Charity No. 1073844) primarily set up to oversee the upkeep of the Millennium Village Green and the Affetside Society, which lobbies Local Councillors , the Local Area Partnership and BRIF in order to champion issues that affect village life and the residents. Affetside Society also works to organise social events to bring villagers, family, friends and the wider public together. We don't just do the civic stuff!!Our aim is to unite the community and we welcome people from as far a field as Australia and America to our now famous annual French boules competition and other events which are always well supported.Use the links to the left to navigate around the site, and please feel free to contact us should you have any news to add to the village website.
This site aims to be a resource for the local community to gain information on Village events, and to act as an information resource for both residents and visitors.As a community run society we all put in effort to community events and whilst we volunteer ourtime, we do have to pay for some things.
